02 The Challenge
Maverick Media's operations ran on a legacy FileMaker fmp7 system that had served the company for years but was reaching its limits. When COVID forced the team to work remotely, the need for a modern, cloud-accessible platform became urgent. The new system had to support 90+ users across two continents, integrate with Microsoft's cloud ecosystem for SharePoint document management and Excel-based budgeting, and comply with GDPR requirements — all while preserving the business logic embedded in years of operational workflows.
03 Our Approach
We designed and built the system from the ground up on FileMaker 19+, deploying via WebDirect to give every team member browser-based access without client installations. The solution comprises 197+ table occurrences across 65+ layouts, covering the full project lifecycle from pitch through delivery. Microsoft Graph API integration connects the system directly to SharePoint and Excel Online, enabling budget workbooks to be generated, edited, and synced without leaving the FileMaker interface.
