BusinessMan is a comprehensive CRM/ERP solution developed over many years by Computech. Based in Saltash, Computech is a long-established business offering FileMaker database development, website design, networking, and bespoke software applications to clients throughout the UK and internationally. Established in 1990, they hold partnerships with companies such as Panasonic, MySQL, Dell, Symantec, Brother, and Microsoft.

02 The Challenge
BusinessMan had a fairly rudimentary warehouse module. To fulfil their aim as the most comprehensive ERP system on the market, they needed a complete overhaul of this area. The existing module contained legacy code that required a full rewrite to support modern inventory management at scale.
03 Our Approach
After extensive planning sessions at the Computech offices, we designed a highly efficient warehouse module that tracks inventory movements, stock levels, and storage locations on a per-trading-company basis. The project also required revamps of the allocation, pick notes, and shipping modules. The system is now used by several large US companies managing inventory levels in the hundreds of thousands.
