MCR Pathways is a Glasgow-based charity whose vision is that every care-experienced and disadvantaged young person in Scotland gets the same education outcomes, career opportunities, and life chances as every other young person. They pair volunteer mentors with young people, with each mentor spending one hour a week listening to and encouraging their mentee.

02 The Challenge
MCR Pathways needed a bespoke app to track their mentors as they progressed through the recruitment stage. The programme was expanding across Glasgow, and they needed to replace their initial spreadsheet-based solution in order to effectively track and manage mentors quickly, accurately, and at scale.
03 Our Approach
We consolidated their data and made it relational. As they had been managing duplicate data sets across multiple spreadsheets, our app streamlined their data and made it far more efficient for reporting. We built bespoke reporting tools — with MCR Pathways' guidance — to make the data they had collected over the years more powerful and meaningful.
